- Nelson Window Company began in the mid-50s as a glass and screen service company.
- Norman Bertsch joins the company in the early 1960s and purchases the company in 1968.
- Nelson Window begins its relationship with Mon-Ray and Hayfield companies in the early 1970s.
- His son, Nolen, joins the team as an installer in 1971.
- In the 1980s, Nelson Window begins selling and installing commercial storefronts.
- In 1983, they build the current building at 2921 Fiechtner Drive in Fargo.
- Nolen’s son, Jordan, begins his career with Nelson Window in 2001.
