Our Story

Growing your business is our business. We’re a group of hungry performance-driven marketers that focus on driving sales and leads for your business. We’re good at what we do and always put our clients first while we aim to add massive value by driving growth.

Some companies have nerds, some have geeks, and some have ninjas but we have AdSharks.

We promise nothing less than extraordinary.

Our Team

We are a talented group of fast-moving performance marketers that love what we do.

AdShark Marketing is a Digital Marketing Agency with headquarters based in Fargo, North Dakota.

It began with two young entrepreneurs who were passionate about Internet Marketing and wanted to build something awesome.  It’s fitting that the two founders met as the result of a Google search.  Rick Berg, the original founder of AdShark Marketing, looked to Google to research other local companies that were offering similar services.

He found Fargo Web Strategy as one of the Google’s top results. Sean Maki was the proprietor behind Fargo Web Strategy, and Rick reached out for a meeting.  The two realized their skills complimented each other well. They shared a vision of building a company that delivers revenue-driven results.  Three days later, their two companies merged and a new AdShark Marketing was born.

After merging in August 2013, the AdSharks were fortunate enough to see some early success.  They were able to deliver amazing results for their clients and started to grow. Now their team is larger and looking forward to adding more.

The AdSharks strongly believe in two things: driving sales and leads for their clients and creating an awesome work environment.  They believe that if they can do those two things well and hire the best people, then everything else will fall into place.

About Us

Bonanzaville is North Dakota’s must-see historic attraction. Located in West Fargo, North Dakota we offer tours, special events, and programming year round. We offer 12 acres, 43 historic buildings, more than 400,000 artifacts, and millions of memories. Bonanzaville, is operated by the Cass County Historical Society.

Mission

To interpret the heritage of the Red River Valley.

History

The Cass County Historical Society was organized in 1954 and became a nonprofit corporation in North Dakota in 1955. Later that year, we got into the museum business when the Pioneer Daughters donated the contents of their historical museum, which was housed in the basement of Menard Hall at NDSU (then NDAC). It wasn’t until 1972 that the present museum building was constructed on land donated by the Red River Valley Fair. Artifacts were then moved from Menard Hall to the new museum. CCHS had been collecting buildings from around the county, and moving them to the location now called Bonanzaville, since 1967. The name refers to the large Bonanza farms that once existed in the Red River Valley.

Over the years, we have accumulated 43 historic buildings with numerous museums, such as the Eugene Dahl Car Museum, the Eagles Air Museum, the tractor museum, the Law Enforcement Museum, and more.

Board of Directors

Bonanzaville’s Board of Directors are chosen from the membership by members at the annual meeting each April. They serve three year terms. The Board of Directors meet monthly on the second Wednesday of each month. The meeting dates are posted on the calendar of events page here.

MORE ABOUT THE CHIROHEALTH & REHAB FOUNDER

As one of the leading chiropractor Fargo professionals, Dr. Mason Orth is the man with a compelling plan to optimize the health of all of his patients. Ever since the turn of the millennium (2000), Dr. Orth began working as a chiropractor Fargo and is seen as a pivotal force in chiropractic care. Locally born and raised in Horace, North Dakota, Dr. Orth managed to stick around in his hometown. His conviction to bring back the superior excellence of his chiropractic Fargo care to his hometown is truly a heartwarming story.

Seen locally as an expert in his field, he often leads the way in Fargo chiropractic care. His discoveries and innovations fostered new technologies in chiropractic Fargo assistance. Areas of expertise like spinal rehabilitation saw tremendous adaptations with Dr. Mason Orth’s prestigious work. Through his constant education and study of the science, Dr. Orth also specializes in the physical regions of the spine, hip, knees and shoulders.

While we discuss how he’s dominated the field, he also addresses sports injuries, non-surgical spinal decompression, nutrition, wellness, cold laser treatment, soft tissue dysfunction, and spinal disc disorders. You don’t often hear about a chiropractor Fargo who takes his craft to the utmost level of knowledge.

Not only is Doctor Mason Orth a success as an intellect for the study of chiropractic Fargo care, but he also excels in business. His first location back in 2000, thrived and soon afterwards, he would open more locations. He’s now at the point where he operates multiple locations across the state of North Dakota and Minnesota. For Dr. Orth, FM Chiro Health & Rehab certainly served him well financially as a chiropractor Fargo!

You are working with someone who not only provides the essentials with his work, but who’s also able to build and scale his services to more people. His ability to train and lead top chiropractor Fargo professionals to the top of their game is incredible. This is how his ability to go the distance really does make a difference in his chiropractor Fargo work.

Deep down though, Doctor Mason Orth works with a mission that began at a young age. His father always suffered from chronic back pain. Apparently this is a hereditary area for Dr. Orth. It’s a part of his family heritage and now, he suffers from the same pain. This means not only does he practice chiropractor Fargo work to heal others, but he himself needs the treatment.

This puts Dr. Orth in the unique position to have a full circle understanding of what the patient deals with on a regular basis. Since he himself is a patient and needs the kind of care he provides, he shares his own powerful testimony. It is powerful because it shows Dr. Orth lives out in his own life what he preaches to his patients. Visit the chiropractor Fargo!

Today, work with a chiropractor Fargo who understands what you go through with your pain. Once the care comes into effect and you begin to realize the shift in lower pain levels, Dr. Orth will encourage you all the way. Since he himself is a testament and witness to Fargo chiropractic care, he and his TEAM of chiropractors Fargo are able to get the job done smoothly for you.

Many people dream about how their lives will change in the years to come. Even though no one has a crystal

ball to predict the future there are some things that are a real possibility, especially if you have a family – like weddings, college, and eventually retirement. Being prepared for these things can make a big difference, and protecting what you have today is important, too. Let’s get together to talk about your present needs and future plans!

Greetings family and friends. I was born in Thief River Falls, MN and raised in the small northern Minnesota community of Northome. My parents owned their own business for as long as I can remember and are now both retired and living in a warmer climate. I have one sister who lives in Northome and owns and operates a petroleum company with her husband. I come from a family of successful business owners and hope to carry on that tradition through Country Financial. After high school I graduated from Moorhead State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal. I worked at the same Fargo law firm for nearly 22 years. I have experience in real estate, estate planning, probate, commercial litigation, debtor/creditor workouts, and bankruptcy, as well as a general business background. I have been married to my husband, Joe, for 21 years. Joe is a truck driver for Magnum Companies in Fargo. We have one daughter, Taylor, who attends UND and is majoring in business management. We have served as a PATH foster family for the past 8 years and have a passion to helping children and families grow in a healthy and stable environment. I believe in commitment to others and serving the community and people where I live. I look forward to meeting new clients and serving and preserving the clients I have been lucky enough to serve.

Notes

Creatively Uncorked was started in January 2014 by Shanna Cramer as a way to bring the paint and sip concept to the Fargo-Moorhead area. Creatively Uncorked opened its first studio in the Moorhead Center Mall in January 2015, then moved to their current location in West Fargo in June 2016. The new downtown Fargo location opened in March 2017. What started as a paint and sip concept now offers a variety of crafting classes and special events, in addition to canvas painting. Creatively Uncorked now has several artists, two studios, hundreds of paintings, and continually offers fun events within a 100-mile radius of Fargo, ND.

Shanna Cramer, President/Artist

“I’m so excited to bring the paint and sip experience to Fargo-Moorhead and the surrounding area! Creatively Uncorked is the product of combined passions. With a background in art, teaching, and wine appreciation (wink), it is proving to be the perfect fit. The whole idea is to provide an opportunity for people to relax, have some laughs and get creative with their friends and co-workers. It’s fun art, not fine art, so whether you’re the artistic type or can’t draw a stick figure, you will have a good time. We’ll be offering scheduled events at our West Fargo and downtown Fargo studios, regular events in Grand Forks, Fergus Falls and Detroit Lakes, as well as booking private parties and corporate team building events. No set-up, no clean-up. Just sit down to your canvas with a drink, and paint your masterpiece!” https://creativelyuncorked.com/about-us

Biographical Info

The Dakota Monument Company was incorporated in the state of North Dakota on February 27, 1911 by O. C. Anderson, H. F. Nesne and O. Skognes. O. C. Anderson started in the memorial business in 1906 as founder of Crookston Marble and Granite in Crookston, MN. He sold this company in 1910 and moved to Fargo, ND to begin a new memorial business.

In 1912, Anderson and Nesne purchased Skognes’ interest in the business and made it solely a family owned business as Nesne was Anderson’s uncle.

O. C. Anderson operated Dakota Monument Company until his death in 1938. At that time, his son, Frederick S. Anderson took over management of the company.

Frederick Anderson continued to operate the company until his death in May 1980. He was succeeded by his son, David F. Anderson. In May of 2013 Dustin Anderson the fifth generation joined the family business and does outside sales. David and his son Dustin continue the family tradition today.

The original business location for Dakota Monument Company was 101 Front Street (now Main Ave.) in Fargo. In 1965, the company relocated to a new facility at 2414 South University Drive. Then in 1994, the company built a new facility and moved to 1212 24th Ave. South in Fargo.

Today Dakota Monument Company is the only monument company in the state of North Dakota that has been invited to be one of 50 members of the American Institute of Commemorative Art. The company also has been a part of the Monument Builders of North America for over 20 years and strictly follows its Code of Good Practice. The company is also active members in the Northwest Monument Builders and the Fargo Chamber of Commerce. Dakota Monument Company is an authorized agent for Royal Melrose Granite Company, Cold Spring Granite, Dakota Granite Company, Granit-Bronz and Matthew’s Bronze International.

FARGO—The Downtown Community Partnership has hired Melissa Rademacher as its new president and CEO.

Rademacher was hired by downtown Fargo developer Kilbourne Group last fall as a business development manager, according to Forum archives. Prior to that, she served as general manager of the Moorhead Center Mall.

Rademacher is a Fargo native and graduate of Fargo South High School and North Dakota State University, where she studied apparel textiles and business.

After college, she managed Abercrombie and Anthropologie stores on the East and West coasts before returning to North Dakota to be closer to family.

According to Tim Flakoll, chairman of the Downtown Community Partnership board, Rademacher “is well-known and respected in the community and has a proven ability to attract and retain new and existing businesses to downtown Fargo.”

“The board of directors felt that Melissa has a strong understanding of the mission, roles, responsibilities and vision of the DCP. She has worked in complex business environments and has a strong understanding of teams and what motivates them,” Flakoll said. “She has a strong record, working literally coast to coast in building successful organizations and teams. She brings extraordinary marketing, retail and relationship skills to the position and will be a great advocate for the downtown.”

In a press release issued Tuesday, Oct. 11, Radermacher said “I look forward to working with the businesses, residents and guests who love the downtown. Fargo has been a case study in how people, when working together in a focused approach, can have a transformational lasting impact on a city. Yet, there are other emerging opportunities that we must identify and capitalize on to make the downtown experience even better. My goal is that no matter what draws you to the downtown, that each time it delivers for you and makes a positive lasting impression.”

Mike Hahn resigned as president and CEO of the DCP May 16 after serving nearly seven years on the job. Rademacher will assume the position in November.

Biographical Info

EmersonTherapeuticMassageAfter graduating from the Florida Academy of Massage in 1995, Patrick Emerson returned to the Fargo area and began his massage therapy career working out of chiropractic offices. After about 4 years he realized that his massage schooling had not prepared him to treat those who were suffering with pain.

Using the Relaxation/Swedish model taught to him in school, any positive results achieved with clients were temporary at best. The seminars Emerson attended at the time taught the “rub where it hurts” model, which he found to be ineffective. After 7 years of practice, Emerson was frustrated and worse, bored.

While driving to Bismarck for the ND chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association Convention, he was trying to decide how to tell his pregnant wife, along with their four and two year old children, that he might return to college to pursue a degree as a healthcare professional. That year the presenter at the AMTA Convention was Paul St. John. Emerson had heard good things about St. John’s method of Neuromuscular therapy, or Therapeutic Massage.

therapeutic-Massage-for-Hip-Muscle_Fargo-ND

While listening to the presentation, Emerson was baffled as to why this method wasn’t being taught in every massage school in the country. This was the true massage therapy! When St. John demonstrated his therapy method, Emerson felt that he had seen a miracle and described the moment as the epiphany that gave him the realization he “did not have to go back to college and could stay a massage therapist!”. He now knew that Therapeutic Massage was what he was meant to do.

therapeutic-Massage-for-Range-of-Motion_Fargo-ND

Since then, Emerson has attended all of the St. John’s seminars. He has been fortunate to have been taught by Paul St. John personally, as well as by his excellent instructors. Four years after his epiphany, Emerson became certified in the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy.

Recently, Emerson has reached the Advanced Trained level of Primal Reflex Release Technique (the treatment of muscles after a traumatic event). He continues to be passionate about therapeutic massage and inspires to learn and to better serve those who suffer from pain and find themselves in his office.

Notes

Founded in 2016 by a former inmate, F5 helps to coordinate services and provide personal support in order to deter repeat

offenses. After serving time and realizing the lack of services once released from prison, F5’s founder realized that if we as a society are unable to help break the cycle in an individual’s life that led them to crime, we will fail. If we are able to provide continued support when they leave confinement, we have a greater chance of positively impacting a former inmate’s life by leveling barriers. That benefits all of us, as well as the former offender.

F5 starts the transition journey through contact while in confinement. Through discussion, motivation, and direct relationship building, inmates are introduced to F5 members…

Commonly known as function keys on a computer keyboard, F1 through F12 may have a variety of different uses but F5 is special to us for one reason… F5 is the refresh key. No matter what data you have on your computer screen, when you hit F5 it all deletes. This is really what any person with a background wants, to start over, clean, refresh.

We help make that happen from our approach, and its also happens to be how many felonies the founder of F5 Project had when he started is journey to success. We believe this is what differentiates F5 from other companies, “we have been in their shoes” approach will always win out in any scenario.

“I believe that accounting is the international language of business. I am looking for the numbers to tell me a story and then I like to share my findings with my team and clients. The fun part is communicating that story in a way that is meaningful for them…in clear, simple language.”

Speaking to Mark is a unique experience. A quick mind and diverse interests have helped him sustain an amazing collection of relationships across the globe. More importantly, his ability to translate the details of his clients’ interests and goals always results in a solution tailored to them. Mark had the opportunity to work with some of the best-known CPAs in the upper Midwest before founding Giddings & Associates. He is also a co-founder of Mid America Consultants International and served as the company treasurer for several years.

Mark has developed a niche in sophisticated tax and business consulting. He is best known for:

  • Supporting multiple complex business deals and tax situations;
  • Focusing on the personal and business needs of farmers and multi-generational enterprises;
  • Providing keen insight for individuals with multi-state or expat tax matters — including filmmakers, entrepreneurs and entertainers;
  • Serving clients on all seven continents.

When Mark responds to a question or need, you can be sure that he’s rolled it over in his mind and viewed every angle. Ultimately, you will make the decision, but it will be well informed from Mark’s extensive knowledge and research. His goal — and the culture of Giddings — is to serve clients for a lifetime. And then earn the trust of their children and grandchildren.

A summa cum laude graduate of Moorhead State University (now Minnesota State University – Moorhead), Mark is a member of the Red River Valley Estate Planning Council, the American Institute of Certified Pubic Accountants, the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.

He is active in the Cormorant Lions Club and is serving on the Chamber Council for Cormorant Lutheran Church.

Mark also led a team to teach a course in Russia entitled “Farm Financial Management in the Free Market Society.” He has been a guest speaker at many conferences and conventions for professional groups such as the North Dakota Bar Association, the North Dakota Society of Public Accountants, the Red River Estate Planning Council, the Independent Association of Jackson Hewitt Franchisees, the National Exchange Club and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.

While his passion for Doobie Brothers music and hot air balloons is epic, Mark’s friends, family and clients love him anyway.

Mark is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Minnesota and North Dakota and has received the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant from the AICPA.

Mark and Diane have made their home at Middle Cormorant Lake in Becker County, Minnesota.

My love for music started at an early age. My father was a professional musician so music was always a part of my life as long as I can remember. When I was 8 years old my dad created the “Harmon Family Band” with my 3 brothers and sisters and mom. I sang and played the base guitar. We practiced all summer long and at the end of the summer we went on a 10 stop tour across the west coast ending at Disneyland. It is one of the best memories of my childhood. I believe this early involvement in music helped me to develop my rhythm which carried into being a better dancer and DJ.

In the fall of 1996, I was attending NDSU and took a “social dance” class as one of my electives. In that class I learned the basics of swing, country two step, and waltz… but my favorite was swing. I would tear up any dance floor I could with friends doing all sorts of cool swing moves. In 1998, the big swing craze hit and every time I went out dancing I would get a handful of people wanting to know how I learned to dance and they asked to show them how I did certain moves. Shortly thereafter in January 1999, I started Harmon DanceWorks and taught my first swing class. I have been teaching 3 to 4 dance classes per year ever since. I had also been DJing swing events regularly and doing dance performances from 1999 until 2008.

In 2008, I got married to my lovely wife Allison and planned my own reception which included a reception dance lesson and choreographed first dance. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding reception they had ever been to. I had been to other receptions in the past and knew I could do a better job than most DJ’s I had seen. A month after I was married Harmon DanceWorks starting booking wedding receptions and we have been growing every year since.

We’re locally owned & operated by me… Mama Duck – also known as Sandra Vigen

I’ve always joked about being a little OCD throughout my life & now I’m going to be able to offer my neatness to homeowners, moms, business owners, professionals & builders!   I have to give credit to my husband for the name Mama Ducks Cleaning Service.   We visited Disney World four years ago, and with my planning & self nominated leader of the trip the name was born.   If I walked a foot to the left, the other 5 would follow, and it must have been fate because I also had a real duck fly out of a pond & hit me on the head.   So was it destiny calling??  🙂

I left a very successful, 10+ professional career to launch what I know will become the best cleaning company in Fargo -Moorhead area.   As a busy mom myself I understand the feeling of not having enough time to spend with family & friends because of cleaning.   I decided that I needed to open my own business, use my “OCD” to benefit my clients & free up their valuable time to spend on more important things.

I’ve always lived by the philosophy of “Being a person of Excellence”   What that means is doing things not for recognition or what’s in it for me…. Do it because it’s the right thing!   As a mom myself, I try to remind my son everyday of this philosophy.   If you help enough people get what they need, you’ll be just fine.   To me this isn’t just about the money, it’s about helping people with their time, employing and providing good wages & benefits  to my employees, building a team of cleaning technicians who love their jobs & customers.   The team I’ve built shares my philosophy of not cutting corners, following a system, and the quality is the best EVERY TIME – no exceptions.

We offer a 100% guarantee or we will clean it again.

DUST SETTLES…. WE DON’T!

To get a easy, quick fast free quote take advantage of user friendly website with a built in quote tool.  Instant quotes – no waiting to hear back.  You select the service of cleaning you need.   There are other convenient options to add if you need your windows, basement cleaned & many more – Customized to fit your needs.

If you’d like a quote over the phone give me a call.

Each Mama Ducks cleaning visit follows the Mama Ducks Person of Excellence Standard Format.  We can also customize your cleaning service, and provide a list of standard extra services we can provide for both one time deep cleaning clients, and regularly scheduled maintenance cleaning clients. Our included house cleaning services gives you a great cleaning experience and a standardized process EVERY-TIME, but we are more than happy at creating a custom cleaning program to meet your needs. Just let us know and we will be more than glad to help you. We really are dedicated to making your life better & easier.

Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead’s service is grounded in three defining principles – we entertain, we inform the community and we achieve results for our advertisers. With heritage stations consisting of KFGO-AM, KOYY-FM and KVOX-FM coupled with statewide coverage on KNFL-AM and top-tier local stations KMJO-FM and KRWK-FM Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead has the premiere radio properties in the state of North Dakota.
Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead is owned and operated by a family broadcasting company with North Dakota roots, Midwest Communications. Founded in Wausau, Wisconsin in 1958 by Duke Wright, Midwest Communications has grown from a single station to over 72 radio stations across Middle America. Duke, his wife Pegge, daughter Mary-Kay and sons Michael and Jeffrey oversee daily operations of this growing, locally managed, community focused media company.
Having grown up in Lisbon, Pegge (Anderson) Wright would make frequent trips to North Dakota with Duke. These visits allowed him to hear and experience first-hand the heritage, community focus and tradition that is “The Mighty 790”, KFGO-AM.
In 2013, Duke realized his and Pegge’s dream to finally own and operate a station of such history and integrity as KFGO-AM. Thus, forming Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead, led by KFGO(790 & 94.1), KOYY-FM (Y94), KVOX-FM (Froggy 99.9), KNFL-AM (740 & 107.3 The Fan ), KRWK (101.9 JACK FM) and KMJO (104.7 DUKE-FM).

Notes

North Dakota Grain Inspection Service, Inc. “NDGI” and Illinois Official Grain Inspection “IOGI” are the federally designated laboratories licensed to officially sample and grade grain under the United States Grain Standards Act in their respective areas. While locally there may be other inspection labs operating, the USDA grants only one agency the authority to carry out and issue official inspections for that locale.

NDGI Service has been servicing the inspection needs of Eastern North Dakota and Western Minnesota since 1968. Steve Adams, Owner of NDGI, has always been an avid supporter of the official system, promoting the official inspection system to all that would listen and through published articles. Today, NDGI is a thriving family business. Steve’s tenets to provide accurate results, timely service, and always pushing to improve the company, have grown the agency from its North Dakota headquarters in Fargo to operations in eight states.

NDGI has grown from 3 employees in 1968 providing service to a small local area to over 200 employees in 2016 servicing 8 states across the nation. NDGI prides itself in the important role they play in the grain marketing system. The intensity found in the grain marketing system rivals and exceeds most other industries, although those outside the grain industry rarely know this. A small mistake by the agency can have huge ramifications for commission houses, grain companies and the railroads. Steve Adams realized that being in this critical point, between all these forces required NDGI to continually look for better ways to provide timely service, and accurate results.

History

https://nokotapackers.com/about-us/history/

In 1978, Malcolm Tweten and his brother-in-law Maurice Gjelsness had an innovative idea. Both farmers had been growing potatoes in the Buxton and Reynolds area for a long time, and wanted to market their own potato crop. They started to kick around the idea of a potato warehouse/washplant facility in Buxton, ND. Together with their sons Steve Tweten and Ron Gjelsness on board, NoKota Packers, Inc. began to take shape.

During our first season in the fall of 1979, we stored potatoes in a facility that was still unfinished, represented 4 local farming operations, shipped 220,000 hundred weight of potatoes and employed 18 employees. Today, we have more than doubled in size, work with 5 different growers, have the ability to ship 600,000+ hundred weight of potatoes and employ around 35 employees throughout the year.

Our packaging has also changed since we started. In the beginning we sold most of our potatoes under our own brand names, Buxton’s Best, NoKota Pride, Roughrider and Bully Brand. Once buyers saw how good our product was and the commitment we have to ship out a high quality potato, they started to approach us to pack in their private labels. Today, we pack about 85% of our potatoes under our customers’ names.

With the additions of working with more growers and shipping more potatoes we needed more storage. Our first addition was made in 1993 and there have been three other additions, in 1994, 1996 and 2011, since then. Although we have made physical changes to the storage and washplant, the concept remains the same – our potatoes are stored in a temperature and humidity controlled environment to maintain quality throughout the season.

As we grew in product and building size we also added two partners. Tim Lee, employed as Washplant Manager since 1979, became a partner and vice president in 1991. Kendall Gjelsness, Maurice Gjelsness’s son became a partner after Maurice passed away in 1993. Malcolm Tweten passed away in 2013. Steve continues as President and Head of Sales and Ron as Secretary/Treasurer and in charge of transportation and storage. Mike Moen has been our Grower Representative since 1994.

We started NoKota Packers, Inc. in 1979 as a family business and it is still a family business today. This shows in our service, work ethic and uncompromising commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We look back with satisfaction at our decision to promote Red River Valley red potatoes and we are excited about continuing our involvement in such a dynamic industry.

buckleDarcy is proud of her western North Dakota roots – growing up on the family ranch with three older brothers made her the independent businessperson that she is today. Her professionalism is tinted with a sharp sense of humor and quick wit.

Having started out in the dental field, first as a dental assistant and then became a Registered Dental Hygienist. Darcy quickly discovered that her skills lie in the business world. Using those talents, she built a temporary employment agency that specialized in dental personnel – working with dental professionals throughout North Dakota and western Minnesota for over 10 years.

Give Darcy a challenge and she will thrive – and so, she started a new and unique venture. In 1995, PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. became the first professional employer organization (PEO) in North Dakota. Soon after, she formed Overland Payroll, Inc., an administrative services organization and HR outsourcing firm.

Ongoing education and training are the fundamentals of her success. Darcy became licensed in life and health insurance, first in North Dakota and then Minnesota. The next challenge became getting her PHR certification (Professional in Human Resources) – many large companies require this credential for executives in their HR departments.

In addition to her above certifications, Darcy is active in the West Fargo Area Chamber of Commerce – serving on the Board of Directors for 8 years. She is also active in Fargo Moorhead Human Resource Association (FMHRA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Bowman Chamber of Commerce, and Business Network International.

Darcy lives in West Fargo with her husband Todd. They have one daughter and son-in-law and now have the delight of two grandchildren! Darcy enjoys reading and working on “projects” with Todd. One quote that sums up Darcy’s personality is by Thomas Edison, “I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun”.

Todd began working at PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. in September 2003. Darcy had decided that this “child” of hers had grown to the point where additional staff was needed. Since Todd was anxious for a change from the design/engineering industry, Darcy hired the first (only) applicant for the job!

Todd is active in the legal and legislative issues that involve the PEO industry. During the legislative session, he makes numerous trips to Bismarck allowing our clients the opportunity for direct input on issues relating to employment. Not only is Todd our government expert, he is also our authority on purchasing, collections, marketing, as well as building/grounds and IT maintenance.

Public relations and delivering the payroll packets are the favorite parts of his job – he loves to visit with our clients and employees! The personal touch of delivering payroll allows him to attend to their needs on a regular basis.

Free Publicity Opportunity For You In Fargo INC! Magazine

Hello Fellow Members of The 100:

I’m excited to announce that I have an opportunity to write a series of articles and blog posts for Fargo INC! Magazine which focus on interviews with local business owners and entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the articles is to share your ideas, lessons, and insights with other business owners and entrepreneurs in the Fargo-Moorhead area. You get to tell your story, give advice to others who may be facing the same challenges you’ve already faced, and promote your business. In doing so, you’ll be also be helping other entrepreneurs and business owners in the area.

As a business owner and entrepreneur myself (I’m on my 4th business right now, True IT) I am passionate about business, entrepreneurship, and life-long learning. So I’m very excited to have the chance to help promote entrepreneurship and fellow business owners right here in our area.

I’d like to start by opening up the opportunity to members of The 100.

There’s no cost to you and it only takes about 1 hour of your time for the interview. It’s painless, really!

If you’re interested, please contact me at: wes.henry@trueit.com

I’m looking forward to meeting you and seeing you in the Fargo INC! magazine and blog!

Notes

I lead Vistage CEO peer advisory groups and conduct one-to-one coaching sessions for North Dakota business executives who want to become better leaders, make better decisions, and achieve better results.

The Vistage peer advisory group brings together CEOs from non-competing industries who are serious about professional and personal growth. In the confidential group setting, we challenge assumptions in a non-judgmental manner and empower each other to move our businesses and personal lives forward. The only agenda is to foster each other’s development. It’s lonely at the top, with few people to provide unbiased advice or to hold us accountable. A Vistage group provides a safe place to ask tough questions and drive better results.
Vistage Worldwide is the world’s leading chief executive organization, with over 21,000 members in 20 countries. For more than half a century, Vistage has helped over 75,000 CEOs to grow their businesses, reach financial independence, manage stress, and achieve greater work/life balance.

You have something to say and you need to say it well.

Your message is important and deserves attention. It might even be the cornerstone of your life.

Problem is, sending messages does not make them matter or necessarily work in your favor. People typically work very hard to avoid them.

Wordwork responds by crafting content and strategies so you can identify with your audience rather than talk at it. Confidence replaces skepticism and devotion erases indifference because your audience knows you’re on the same page.

Audiences demand your message to be valuable, resourceful, and relevant.  Wordwork will help you win audiences in ways they want to be won.
