Part 1: Tell us about your organization
Kurt: Describe your purpose?
Michael: To provide Hope, via real, root of the problem, solutions for entrepreneurs.
Kurt: Where do you see your organization in 10 years?
Michael: Serving 500 of our best target clients.
Kurt: And, how can we, as colleagues, help you get there?
Michael: Education and support of the entrepreneur and leadership community.
Kurt: What’s your “secret sauce”? What sets you apart from your competition?
Michael: Not settling for the superficial. Really digging in and putting the ‘medicine’ where it can be most effective.
Kurt: What are you working on today?
Michael: Getting the word out about our value to the people that need to hear it.
Part 2: Tell us a little about yourself
Kurt: First, where did you grow up and where did you learn what you know?
Michael: Fargo, NDSU, 34 years of trying, failing, and never giving up as a business owner, mentor, teacher, and coach.
Kurt: If I were applying for your job, how would you describe it to me?
Michael: Services that build and support entrepreneurs and leaders.
Kurt: What characteristics or qualities would you look for in your replacement?
Michael: Well-rounded people skills, knowledge of business operations at a deep level, accounting, investments, and the desire to make a real difference in people’s lives.
Kurt: What’s the best advice you’ve gotten or the best advice you’d give to our business leader Members?
Michael: Seek out the knowledge of others. Realize life is a training exercise. There is no failure, only keep going, or not.
Kurt: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Michael: I love my work. I love to travel.

He is an Enrolled Agent, ‘America’s Tax Experts’ and a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute.
He is also a licensed Investment Advisor Representative, and Michael holds a certificate of completion of the Certified Financial Planner curriculum of the American College.
And, he is a licensed insurance agent.

Michael has worked the last several years as a business coach and advisor successfully helping small business owner’s transition from a business that owns them, to a business which enables them to create the success they desire. Michael and his wife Donna enjoy their dogs, traveling out west, and quiet days on the water.
