Sarah oversees all aspects of daily business operations for NHS, LLC including owner communication and asset management. She is passionate about driving results through company culture, training/development, and outstanding guest service. Sarah serves on the IHG Owners Association and is currently the Chair of the Association ‘People Committee’.

Ms. Koustrup joined NHS in 2012 following leadership roles with outstanding organizations such as Citi, Microsoft and Midco.

Ms. Koustrup holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Human Resources Management as well as a Master’s Certification in Hospitality Administration and Management. In partnership with Mr. Norman Leslie, Sarah has helped grow the organization to 38 hotels across the United States and is recognized as a Top 200 management company in the United States by size. NHS operates hotels franchised through IHG®, Marriott®, Hilton®, Hyatt®, Radisson®, Choice Hotels® and Wyndham®.

The worst piece of advice she’s ever received…
“Smile pretty and nod.” The manager that told me this was one of the only female managers in that company at the time. She told me that she felt much of her success was because she had the ability to simply listen and get along. I believe in listening, collaboration and a positive work environment, but I think that the very best companies are those where employees feel comfortable sharing feedback, pushing back when appropriate and having leaders with the ability to use that information to make the company better.
